Lightning 368 Class

The Lightning 368 is a 3.68m (12ft), 1-person, 1-sail dinghy. Details can be found at the Lightning Owners' website, www.lightning368.org.


At CRSC, the Lightning Class was formed in 2007. Lightnings compete in their own Class during the Spring and Summer Series. During the shorter Easter, August Frolic and Winter Series they join other Classes in the Handicap fleet.

Lightning Open - Sat 14th July 2012

This year's Lightning Open comprises 3 races with two separate Trophies:

  • Southern Championship Trophy - best 2 scores from 3.
  • Derek Bayley Trophy - highest placed CRSC helm.

  • Southern Championship - 2011 Results and Race Report.

    This event should appeal to visiting helms and club members alike, and offers some close-quarter sailing on a delightful stretch of the River Thames. The Cookham Reach is also ideal for spectators, with excellent viewing along the Berkshire bank.
